With an external diameter of 6.51 meters, ZOLLERN has manufactured and delivered its largest ring to date. It was cast in a sand casting process from a copper material, which has particularly good sliding properties. In a very short period of time, the sand casting team implemented the customer’s special requirements, from the modeling to the finished ring, which will be used in a tunnel boring machine.
